The Grange

An old 1870’s former stable turned cottage gets a facelift when Lisa Brown, a residential selections, selected Greg Clancy Construction to help her redo her historic home. The bones were there, and the home had been updated throughout the years, however, what we were challenged with was bringing new life into this old home. We wanted to keep the integrity and character of the space, keeping the warm tones and exposed beans while bringing it into this century with the finishes. We did not want anything in the house to look brand new but rather to traverse the threshold between the two worlds. If something came out of the original barn, it was repurposed and reimagined as it served a new purpose in the new home. If something new was used, it maintained a vintage-inspired feel to pay homage to the old structure. With Lisa’s vision and Clancy’s execution, we worked together to make this a place that will stand the test of time. You can feel the warmth as soon as you walk in the door and will be loved for generations to come.
